Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bombers vs. East Rochester Bombers

The Bloomfield Bombers will face off against the East Rochester Bombers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bloomfield took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They snuck past Penn Yan Academy with a 54-49 win.

Meanwhile, East Rochester had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 58-26 victory over the Cougars. The Bombers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season.

East Rochester's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.8 points. As for Bloomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Bloomfield was able to grind out a solid win over East Rochester when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 49-39. Does Bloomfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Rochester turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
