Softball Recap: Escondido Comes Up Short

Escondido fell victim to San Pasqual and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 21-0 to the Golden Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 on Friday.

Escondido's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for San Pasqual, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Escondido will head out to square off against Bonsall at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for San Pasqual, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Mission Hills at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Eagles 3, the Grizzlies 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
