Volleyball Recap: Leander Lions vs. Rouse Raiders
Leander lost against Rouse back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leander Lions fell just short of the Rouse Raiders by a score of 3-2. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Raiders 25-22 in the first set.
Leander took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-18, 15-9.
Mary Schirpik was nothing short of spectacular for Rouse: she had 38 digs.
Leander's record is now 12-26. As for Rouse, they moved to 17-23 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
A feisty cat fight will be fought when Lions takes on Liberty Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Leander surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rouse, they will challenge Glenn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rouse is facing Glenn at the right time seeing as Glenn is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
