Basketball Game Preview: Riverview Sharks vs. Tampa Prep Terrapins

The Riverview Sharks and the Tampa Prep Terrapins will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverview has given up an average of 56.2 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Riverview came up short against Sumner on Friday, falling 70-46. The defeat continues a trend for the Sharks in their meetings with the Stingrays: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Tampa Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Seahawks by a score of 71-60.

Riverview better keep an eye on Kaii Levy. He was instrumental in Tampa Prep's win, dropping a double-double with 22 boards and ten blocks. Those ten blocks gave Levy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson LaMarre, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 20 points.

Tampa Prep's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Riverview, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
