Football Game Preview: Shadow Creek Sharks vs. Dobie Longhorns

The Shadow Creek Sharks will venture away from home to square off against the Dobie Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Shadow Creek blew Dawson out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Dawson got their revenge. The Sharks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 30-27. The Sharks gained 105 more yards on the day, but it was the Eagles that made the best use of them.

Despite their loss, Shadow Creek saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chris Stewart, who picked up 164 receiving yards and one touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Stewart was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards. Jacier Pace handled things on the ground, rushing for 89 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Dobie never got on the board in their matchup on September 12th, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Pasadena Memorial on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 41-21 margin over the Mavericks. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Shadow Creek moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Dobie, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Shadow Creek against Dobie in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-15 win. In that game, the Sharks amassed a halftime lead of 35-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
