Soccer Game Preview: Grand Prairie vs. Bowie

Grand Prairie is on a three-game streak of home losses, Bowie a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Grand Prairie Gophers will host the Bowie Volunteers at 3:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Grand Prairie's offense. They fell 2-0 to Lamar on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Gophers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Vikings are ranked 146th).

Meanwhile, Bowie also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against South Grand Prairie on Friday, falling 7-0.

Grand Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Grand Prairie beat Bowie by a goal in their previous matchup back in January, winning 1-0. Will Grand Prairie repeat their success, or does Bowie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
