Columbus extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 13-10 in the process. They came out on top against the Yoakum Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Yoakum, they moved to 12-10-1 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Yoakum's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Green, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Green is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't).

Columbus will have a chance to go back-to-back against Yoakum: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
