Soccer Game Preview: Aragon vs. Sequoia

Aragon and Sequoia are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2019, but likely not for long. The Aragon Dons will be playing at home against the Sequoia Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Aragon has three straight wins, Sequoia has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

If Aragon beats Sequoia with four goals on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Aragon blew past Carlmont 4-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Dons have won six games by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Sequoia fell victim to South San Francisco and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to the Warriors. That's two games in a row now that the Ravens have lost by exactly four goals.

Aragon's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those six contests. As for Sequoia, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Aragon came out on top in a nail-biter against Sequoia when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 1-0. Will Aragon repeat their success, or does Sequoia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
