Softball Preview: Chaney Cowboys vs. Newton Falls Tigers
For the second straight game, Chaney will face off against Newton Falls. The Cowboys will challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaney has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Chaney lost 19-6 to Newton Falls on Thursday. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Newton Falls' part, Kylee Lance made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Lance was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
