Baseball Game Preview: Arlington Heights Yellowjackets vs. Grapevine Mustangs

The Arlington Heights Yellowjackets will head out to take on the Grapevine Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Arlington Heights comes in on nine and Grapevine on 15.

Arlington Heights gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Trimble Tech 7-1. Considering the Yellowjackets have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Roy Perez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Adrian Reyes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Omar Arguello, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Grapevine got the win against Richland on Friday by a conclusive 12-2. The Mustangs are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 16th contest they've won by 6+ runs this season.

Arlington Heights' record is now 17-9-1. As for Grapevine, their record now sits at 26-3.
