Lamphere was sadly handed a defeat on Tuesday, but Ethan Malak did his best to prevent it. Malak struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). The performance also marked the fewest walks (one) he has had since back in March.
