Basketball Recap: Smith Comes Up Short

Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hostos Lincoln Academy Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-47 two weeks ago.

Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hostos Lincoln Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Smith will take on Bronx United at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hostos Lincoln Academy, they will welcome KIPP NYC College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. KIPP NYC College Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Hostos Lincoln Academy likes a good challenge.
