Volleyball Recap: Henderson's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Henderson was the 3-0 winner over East when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Warriors' undefeated start to the season.

Henderson actually scored more points across those five sets (103-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 9-25, 25-19, 25-22, 19-25, 15-12.

East's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sarita Mesa Marin, who had 13 digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Henderson fell to 2-1. As for East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Henderson will welcome Bayard Rustin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Collegium Charter at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
