Waunakee hasn't lost a match since April 5th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They put the hurt on the Carmel Corsairs with a sharp 5-1 win. Given Waunakee's advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 19th in Wisconsin, while Carmel are ranked 147th in Illinois) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Waunakee's victory bumped their record up to 9-1-3. As for Carmel, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-7-2.

Coming up, Waunakee will take on Peoria Notre Dame in a tournament on Saturday. Peoria Notre Dame's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Waunakee's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Carmel, they will take on Tournament Team at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
