Basketball Game Preview: Triangle Lake Lakers vs. Crow Cougars

Triangle Lake is 9-1 against Crow since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Triangle Lake Lakers will face off against the Crow Cougars at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Triangle Lake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Last Tuesday, Triangle Lake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-59 to Alsea.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crow). They came out on top against Siletz Valley by a score of 51-41 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Triangle Lake has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Crow, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Everything came up roses for Triangle Lake against Crow in their previous meeting on January 2nd, as the team secured a 67-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Triangle Lake since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
