Football Game Preview: Cardinal O'Hara Lions vs. Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls

The Cardinal O'Hara Lions will take on the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Saturday, Cardinal O'Hara had to suffer through a 38-3 loss at the hands of St. Joseph's Prep. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Ryan had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Sunday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 23-22 W against the Burrs. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Raiders and Ragdolls' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Burrs are ranked 224th).

Archbishop Ryan's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Cardinal O'Hara, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4.

Cardinal O'Hara came out on top in a nail-biter against Archbishop Ryan when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 17-14. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Raiders and Ragdolls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
