Basketball Recap: Alvarado Falls to Stephenville in First Game of Season

Alvarado had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees 82-50 on Tuesday. The Indians lost against the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-58 score last time.

Stephenville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alvarado will face off against Jacksboro at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stephenville, they will take on Decatur at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
