Volleyball Game Preview: Warner Christian Academy Eagles vs. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons

The Warner Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Warner Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Warner Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Halifax Academy on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Knights 3-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Warner Christian Academy took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-6.

Warner Christian Academy relied on the efforts of Trinity Stoute, who had 12 digs and two assists, and Calleigh Hamel, who had four digs. Those four digs gave Hamel a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Florida School for the Deaf & Blind was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Model Secondary School for the Deaf.

Warner Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Warner Christian Academy took their victory against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
