Lancaster hadn't done well against Watkins Memorial recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Golden Gales were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Warriors. The Golden Gales might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 12 runs or more this season.

Lancaster's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Watkins Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will welcome Groveport-Madison at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Gales are facing the Cruisers at the right time seeing as the Cruisers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Watkins Memorial, they will head out to face off against Licking Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
