Fairfax and Westchester are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Lions will be playing at home against the Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairfax is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Fairfax is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Hamilton on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Lions came up short against the Yankees, falling 26-6. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 807th, while the Yankees are ranked 356th).

Meanwhile, Westchester ended up a good deal behind Palisades on Friday and lost 35-19. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Dolphins recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Westchester's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fairfax, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Fairfax couldn't quite get it done against Westchester in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 27-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Comets' Justen Key, who rushed for 229 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
