Basketball Recap: Rochester Takes a Loss

Rochester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by the WF West Bearcats and fell 57-29. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bearcats from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Brayden Oconnor was Rochester's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Oconnor also led the team in rebounds with seven.

WF West's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grady L Westlund led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. L Westlund is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games he's played dating back to last season. Weston Potter was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for WF West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Rochester wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 85-39 defeat against Franklin Pierce on the 8th. As for WF West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 37-31 loss against Tumwater on the 8th.
