Basketball Recap: Plano Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Plano extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Josie Larson. The Plano Reapers took down the Belvidere North Blue Thunder 44-30 on Friday thanks in part to Larson, who posted 15 points along with eight boards and seven assists. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Rowe, who had five points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

Plano has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points per game. As for Belvidere North, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Plano won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Johnsburg at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Plano is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season. As for Belvidere North, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rockford Auburn at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
