It's playoff time, and Washington County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 85-53 victory over the Chatham Charter Knights. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Brandon Carter Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 74% from the field en route to 39 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Those 74% shooting accuracy gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brandon Spruill, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Washington County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Chatham Charter still got an impressive performance from Brennan LaVelle, who went 12-for-18 on his way to 26 points and six rebounds. LaVelle's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Gabe McKoy was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Washington County pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points over those games. As for Chatham Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11.

Looking ahead, Washington County will square off against Lejeune at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lejeune's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 games. Chatham Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
