Baseball Game Preview: Springfield Tigers vs. Western Reserve Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Springfield will face off against Western Reserve. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Springfield came up short against Western Reserve and fell 9-4. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Western Reserve's part, Hunter Stacy was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Vito Armeni was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Western Reserve kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only managed seven.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Western Reserve, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
