Basketball Recap: Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy was the 46-43 winner over Athens Bible when they last played one another on January 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. The Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions were dealt a 66-34 loss at the hands of the Athens Bible Trojans on Tuesday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Athens Bible to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Murrell, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Murrell is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Noah Hester, who went 8 for 14 en route to 18 points and eight boards.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Athens Bible, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions duke it out with the Colbert Heights Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Athens Bible does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
