Football Game Preview: Sheehan Titans vs. Lyman Hall Trojans

Sheehan is a perfect 9-0 against Lyman Hall since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:00 a.m. Sheehan will be strutting in after a win while Lyman Hall will be coming in after a loss.

Sheehan took a loss when they played away from home on November 7th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They slipped by Shelton 26-25.

Jake O'Brien went supernova, rushing for 37 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 128 yards and one TD. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Lyman Hall unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak last Friday. They were outmatched by Guilford and fell 48-8. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sheehan pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.4 points on average over those games. As for Lyman Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Sheehan against Lyman Hall in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
