Soccer Recap: Fort Dorchester Comes Up Short

Fort Dorchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes. While losing is never fun, Fort Dorchester can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Ashley Ridge are ranked third).

Fort Dorchester's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Ashley Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Fort Dorchester will be playing in front of their home fans against Porter-Gaud at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ashley Ridge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Stall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
