Volleyball Recap: Smyrna Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Smyrna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverdale Warriors. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Je'Veyaeh Chambers paced Smyrna's offense, picking up nine kills. Chambers got some help from Ava Francis and her 23 assists.

Smyrna's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Riverdale, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 15-20.

Smyrna has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Cane Ridge on the 1st. As for Riverdale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Siegel on the 3rd.
