 The Western Branch Bruins will head out on the road to  take on  the James Island Trojans at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both teams are still undefeated (Western Branch has five wins, while James Island.
 Western Branch put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Lakeland with a sharp  10-2 win. That's two games straight that Western Branch has won by  exactly eight  runs.
 Western Branch got a great performance from  Miles Melescu as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Melescu has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts every time he's  pitched this season.  PJ Tone came in to relieve  Melescu and was airtight, giving up no runs, hits or walks in his one  inning pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Logan Adams was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jakson Walter, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, James Island faced Hilton Head Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. James Island came out on top in a nail-biter against Hilton Head Christian Academy  and snuck past  8-6.
 Western Branch's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for James Island, they pushed their record up to 13-0-1 with that  win, which was their 12th straight  at home dating back to last season.
