Baseball Recap: Lake Buena Vista Takes a Loss

Lake Buena Vista's last matchup with Freedom could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Vipers came up short against the Patriots, falling 16-4. The loss continues a trend for the Vipers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost five in a row.

Brice Cox was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Luis Ramos, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Lake Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Freedom, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Buena Vista will square off against Discovery at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freedom, they will face off against Colonial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
