Baseball Game Preview: Somersworth Toppers vs. Campbell

Somersworth hasn't had much luck against Campbell recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Toppers will be playing in front of their home fans against Campbell at 4:00 p.m.

Somersworth is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Campbell.

For Campbell's part, Michael Grace made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Grace was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Braydon White was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Noah Reed, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Campbell and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Somersworth, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
