Volleyball Recap: Jasper Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Jasper waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Vincennes Lincoln Alices 3-0. The Wildcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-17, 25-14.

Jasper's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haley Atkins, who had seven digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Atkins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nora Breitwieser, who had 14 digs.

They weren't the only good server: Jasper was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Jasper's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Vincennes Lincoln, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-7.

Jasper has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Barr-Reeve on the 16th. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Princeton on the 11th.
