While Beaverton put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for North Salem. The Beavers blew past the Vikings 20-0. That looming 20-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Beavers yet this season.
Zinnia Berg and Addison Riedel made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Berg pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Riedel struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Berg has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. Beaverton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
