Baseball Game Preview: Wellsville Lions vs. Le Roy Oatkan Knights

Wellsville is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Le Roy is on a nine-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lions will host the Oatkan Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Wellsville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They skirted past Livonia 2-1.

Meanwhile, Le Roy won against Haverling on Tuesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Oatkan Knights had just enough and edged out Wayland-Cohocton 3-2.

Wellsville has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Le Roy, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.
