Valley Christian entered their tilt with Schurr on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 6-2. The Defenders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

The team relied heavily on Brody Beck, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Mack Lynott, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Valley Christian's record is now 8-4. As for Schurr, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Valley Christian will challenge Santa Barbara at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Schurr, they will square off against Canyon Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
