Basketball Recap: Hughes Springs Comes Up Short

After flying high against Daingerfield last Friday, Hughes Springs came back down to earth. The Hughes Springs Mustangs took a hard 53-36 fall against the Harmony Eagles on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Hughes Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Harmony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Hughes Springs is taking a road trip to challenge Chapel Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Harmony has already played their next matchup (against New Diana), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
