There's no place like home for Michigan Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Hanover-Horton Comets on Monday as the Michigan Center Cardinals made off with a 73-53 victory. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Hanover-Horton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being JJ Russ, who went 5 for 8 en route to 11 points. That's the most points Russ has posted since back in February of 2024. Luke Soper was another key player, going 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Michigan Center's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Hanover-Horton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Michigan Center and Hanover-Horton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Michigan Center will challenge Leslie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 266 places (146 vs. 412). Similarly, Hanover-Horton (ranked 247th) will meet Addison (ranked 630th) at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
