Football Recap: Sanborn Regional Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Sanborn Regional's offense. They were outmatched by the Somersworth Toppers and fell 44-0. The Indians lost against the Toppers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 36-14 score last time.

Kaleb Hefler was nothing short of spectacular for Somersworth: he rushed for 102 yards and three scores on only five carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Hefler a new career-high.

Sanborn Regional is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Somersworth, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Sanborn Regional didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 45-6 defeat against Monadnock on the 27th. As for Somersworth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 26-22 loss against Campbell on the 27th.
