Basketball Recap: Spanish Fort Comes Up Short

Spanish Fort lost against Booker T. Washington on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spanish Fort Toros might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 60-47 to the Booker T. Washington Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Toros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Booker T. Washington found their leader in sophomore Adam Griffin, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keylon Williams, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points.

Spanish Fort's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Booker T. Washington, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Spanish Fort will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on McGill-Toolen at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Booker T. Washington, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Booker T. Washington Wildcats challenge the West Florida Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
