Mattingly Amisano was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Amisano was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That hit was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Emelia Zeng and Averie Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Zeng went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Jones went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Jones a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Stienecker, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Providence pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
