Volleyball Recap: East Chicago Central Takes a Loss

East Chicago Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portage Indians.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13.

Randi Washington paced East Chicago Central's offense, picking up five kills. Washington got some help from Jaslene Guido and her six assists.

East Chicago Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Portage, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

East Chicago Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Westville on the 25th. As for Portage, they will head out on the road to challenge Michigan City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
