Basketball Recap: Parker-Tarrant Homeschool Sets Scoring Season-High Against Chisholm Trail Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chisholm Trail Academy Blazers on Tuesday, sneaking past 78-75. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since November 8th.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Timothy Jones, who went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Jones now owns an excellent 48% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of David Aguilar, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February.

Several Blazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jadon Henderson, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 20 points in addition to eight assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Henry Morales, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The victory snapped Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool will face off against Covenant Christian at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, they will take on Temple Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blazers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
