Soccer Game Preview: Marbury vs. Tuscaloosa Academy

The Marbury Bulldogs will take on the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marbury will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Tuesday, Marbury was able to grind out a solid win over Tallassee, taking the game 3-1. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Tigers are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tuscaloosa Academy entered their tilt with Tuscaloosa County on Wednesday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victor by an 8-5 margin over the Wildcats. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Marbury pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
