Baseball Recap: Casady Victorious

After losing to Riverside Indian the last time they met, Casady decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cyclones came out on top against the Braves by a score of 11-6 on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Henry Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Tice, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Casady always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.

Casady's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Riverside Indian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Casady will face off against Millwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverside Indian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Temple at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.56 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
