Baseball Recap: Valley Center Comes Up Short

Valley Center fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against San Dieguito Academy on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Jaguars have lost by just one run.

Jonathan Teter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Daniel Subish was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Valley Center has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for San Dieguito Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-20 record.

As of now, neither Valley Center nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
