Baseball Recap: Cary Beats Enloe for Their Third Straight Win

Cary never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Enloe Eagles 10-0. The Imps have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Owen Green was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Gavin Mathis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Cary always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Enloe only posted an OBP of .222.

The victory (which was Cary's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.0 runs this season. As for Enloe, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Cary didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Garner on the 6th. Hopefully Enloe paid attention to the Imps' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Imps at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
