The Maynard Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Oxford Pirates at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Maynard is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Massachusetts (they are ranked 96th, while Oxford is ranked 200th).
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Maynard, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-48 loss to Clinton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Maynard in their matchups with Clinton: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, even though Auburn scored an imposing 70 points on Thursday, Oxford still came out on top. Oxford secured a 75-70 W over Auburn. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oxford.
It was another big night for Andruw Martinez, who scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Marqoupis, who scored 17 points.
Maynard's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Oxford, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.
