Football Game Preview: Sullivan Redskins vs. Villa Grove Blue Devils

The Sullivan Redskins will face off against the Villa Grove Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Saturday, Sullivan lost to Cumberland on the road by a 35-21 margin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Villa Grove). They slipped by Sangamon Valley/Tri-City 25-24 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.

Villa Grove's win came from a few key players Sullivan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Thomas Vandeventer, who picked up 66 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 66 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Villa Grove's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Sullivan, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-2.
