Baseball Recap: Standing Bear's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Standing Bear entered their tilt with Elkhorn on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 13-9 victory over the Antlers.

Kameron Foster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Jaxson Minzel and Jackson Froeschl did most of the damage at the plate: Minzel got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base, while Froeschl went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave Minzel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Schultz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Standing Bear was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Standing Bear's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Elkhorn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.
