Volleyball Game Preview: Brandywine Bobcats vs. Athens Indians

The Brandywine Bobcats will square off against the Athens Indians at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Brandywine is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

On Monday, Brandywine didn't have quite enough to beat Bridgman and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Brandywine sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 17-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Athens came into Tuesday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Camden-Frontier on Tuesday.

Athens' victory bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Brandywine, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Brandywine couldn't quite get it done against Athens when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
